The day after.
Yesterday was violence,
pain, blood, confusion,
Watching the Master die,
questions rage, despair
caves in the world around them.
There is no sound of laughter,
no bread to break, no wine for drink,
no words of teaching from Him.
Thinking He was the One,
Messiah promised of old, they followed,
Waiting for something not understood,
weeping over loss, heavy with grief.
It's important that we sit in the silence and anticipation of this day. My hope is that this will spur thought, prayer, and meditation on what has happened on Good Friday and will happen on Easter!
Soli Deo Gloria!
